COOLIEF* Cooled Radiofrequency (RF) is a minimally invasive, non-narcotic pain management procedure that targets the source of pain transmission. This technique provides an alternative treatment option to patients who cannot or do not wish to undergo surgical treatments including joint replacement surgery. COOLIEF* Cooled Radiofrequency Pain Management System can be provided to target chronic pain in segments of spine, knee, hip and shoulder.
This workshop held on 12th September 2019 in Essen, Germany offered physicians intense, hands-on training on cadavers with highly-trained experts, each with a huge experience in practicing radiofrequency procedures. Additionally, this workshop provided the opportunity to learn how to correlate imaging with the anatomy of the innervation of the knee- and sacroiliac joints, to explore the technical considerations and principles of the radiofrequency neurotomy. It furthermore proffered pearls of wisdom from master physicians on how to optimally perform radiofrequency neurotomy interventions.
